Schedule

Day 1. Monday. September 29th. Home to Chattanooga TN. Fly on your own to Chattanooga, TN.  Check into the legendary Chattanooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn (615-266-5000).  One of the South's most renowned landmarks; relive the glory of the railroad, visit the miniature train display, prowl through several intriguing shops at the Hotel and enjoy the formal gardens. Enjoy Chattanooga Winter Days & Lights; Downtown comes alive with excitement. The downtown skyline, 25 of the city's tallest structures, will be decorated with thousands of beautiful Christmas lights. The Chattanooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn's formal gardens will be specially decorated featuring thousands of white lights and holiday silhouettes. The Choo Choo's historic Grand Dome will house a 60 foot lighted wreath and Santa's Winter Wonderland. After free time for resting and exploring the Hotel, travel to the Tennessee Aquarium; tour the world's largest freshwater aquarium. In the new Tennessee Aquarium, you will discover over 4,000 varieties offish as well as river otters and alligators displayed in 40 stunning exhibits. Just a short distance to board Chattanooga's Southern Belle for a fabulous dinner cruise on the scenic Tennessee River. (D)

Day 2. Tuesday. September 30th. Chattanooga. TN. After breakfast provided at the Hotel, depart for Ruby Falls; a fascinating underground experience on Lookout Mountain begins your day. Take the elevator down to begin your guided tour of Ruby Falls along a paved, level walk way which reveals a beautiful cavern with unique formations and a spectacular 145 foot waterfall. Prepare for a thrilling ride on the Incline Railway "America's Most Amazing Mile". The bus will pick you up and travel the short distance to The Battles for Chattanooga Museum on Lookout Mountain: hear and see about Chattanooga's "Battle Above The Clouds" and "Sherman's assault on Missionary Ridge before his historic "March to the Sea". Travel the short distance to Point Park; the site of the famous Civil War battle known as the "Battle Above The Clouds". Enjoy the beautiful homes on Lookout Mountain while traveling to Rock City Gardens; see seven states from legendary lover's leap. Enjoy beautiful colorful gardens amid unique gigantic rock formations which give the geological wonder its' name. Lunch on your own at Rock City Gardens. Return to the Chattanooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn; free time/shopping at Warehouse Row Factory Shops near the Hotel-home to 45 fabulous designers. Dinner provided at the Hotel. (B, D)

Day 3. Wednesday. December 1st. Chattanooga to Pigeon Forge. TN. After breakfast at your leisure at the Hotel, depart for Pigeon Forge. Stretch breaks enroute. Check into Howard Johnson Lodge (615-453-9151). Lunch on your own at nearby restaurants. Free time to shop at nearby Pigeon Forge Factory Outlet Mall. The Smoky Mountain Winterfest, a magical celebration, kicks off in mid November and we will find Pigeon Forge and the immediate area adorned with more than 3 million Christmas lights and numerous lighted displays. Gatlinburg Smoky Mountain Lights also kicks off in mid November; over 2 million Christmas lights and over 40 lighted displays make this attraction the South's Number One festival. Dinner provided at the Old Mill Restaurant. See Smoky Mountain Jubilee and enjoy their super entertainment. (B, D)

Day 4. Thursday. December 2nd. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/The Smokies. After breakfast provided at the Hearthside Restaurant near the hotel, this morning we will enjoy a narrated tour of the beautiful and inspiring Christus Gardens - Gatlinburg’s finest attraction; presenting highlights from the life of Christ. See compelling dioramas from the peaceful Nativity scene to Jesus' Crucifixion and Ascension. Next stop is the Sugarlands Visitor Center of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park; here we will receive information, view a film, and see wildlife exhibits about the park. A native local guide will join us for a short tour of the most visited park in the country. Lunch on your own in Cherokee NC and then back to Gatlinburg. The afternoon is free in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for you to do what ever you want; rest/enjoy the many shopping opportunities (more than 200 outlet stores) at Pigeon Forge's four factory outlet malls. Enjoy shopping at The Incredible Christmas Place; the South's largest Christmas & Collectibles Store. The bus will be available or you can use the trolly system. This evening we will enjoy a four course feast and a galloping good time at Christmas at Dixie Stampede; lights, decorations, an enormous winter wonderland filled with music, magic, and surprises. After Dixie Stampede, we will tour Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with a guide and enjoy all of their Christmas lights and lighted displays. (B, D)

Day 5. Friday. December 3rd. Pigeon Forge. After breakfast provided at the Hearthside Restaurant near the hotel, this morning is free for you to do what ever you want; rest/enjoy the many shopping opportunities (more than 200 outlet stores) at Pigeon Forge's four factory outlet malls. Enjoy shopping at The Incredible Christmas Place; the South's largest Christmas & Collectibles Store. The bus will be available or you can use the trolly system. We will spend an afternoon and evening at Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas; 2 million lights transform Dollywood into a winter wonderland and create sparkling memories, magnificent holiday shows spark the "Christmas Spirit", a Christmas list of memorable attractions await us at Dolly wood's Smoky Mountain Christmas. Dinner voucher provided so you can enjoy dinner at Dollywood at your leisure. After Dollywood, we will travel the short distance to Louise Mandrell's Theatre to see her perform in a super Christmas Show. (B, D)

Day 6. Saturday. December 4th. Pigeon Forge to Nashville. After breakfast provided at the Hearthside Restaurant near the hotel, continue travel to Nashville. Upon arrival, see Fantasy In Ice; this incredible interactive exhibit of carvings, life-size sculptures, and three- dimensional holiday-theme displays are handcrafted by 55 artisans from China. These creations are made of more than one-million pounds of ice and displayed in a self-contained and refrigerated 20,000-square-footvenue! Then we board the General Jackson, the World's largest showboat, for a luncheon cruise down Nashville's Cumberland River. Check into The Radisson Hotel Opryland (615-889-0800) to enjoy a "Country Christmas". Enjoy the beauty, the grandeur, and Christmas lights and displays of The Opryland Hotel, one of the nation's most spectacular hotels. But even that's just the beginning. Treasures for the Holidays which features artwork, handicrafted gifts, and antiques for holiday giving, will be going on at the Opryland Hotel while we are staying in Nashville and you will have ample time to shop and browse. Dinner provided at The Cracker Barrel Restaurant at your leisure. This evening, we will attend country's grandest show - the Grand Ole Opry. B, L, D)

Day 7. Sunday. December 5th. Nashville. After breakfast provided at Shoney's Restaurant, depart for guided Nashville City Tour; visit Ryman Auditorium, home of the Grand Ole Opry for more than 30 years; visit the New Country Music Hall of Fame filled with exhibits, rare artifacts, and personal mementos of legendary performers and today's hottest new stars. Lunch on your own at a nearby restaurant. Free time to rest or shop and browse at Treasures for the Holidays at the Opryland Hotel which features artwork, handicrafted gifts, and antiques for holiday giving or shop at Opry Mills; experience Shoppertainment featuring 200 retailers offering value-shopping, great dining, and exciting entertainment. This evening we travel the short distance to the Opryland Hotel. As we arrive at Opryland Hotel, the sight of 20,000 poinsettias and miles upon miles of holiday garland will take your breath away. The spectacular display of outdoor lights-over 2 million sparkle in the night, from the brightly colored ginger bread house to the towering 141 foot Christmas spectacular called: Southern Lights", the lights alone are a sight to behold. This evening we will enjoy a super dinner and Christmas Show at the Opryland Hotel. (B, D)

Day 8. Monday. December 6th. Nashville to Home. After breakfast provided at Shoney's Restaurant, depart for the airport and fly on your own back home. (B)
