Ozarkland Group Tours & Reunions

July 28 - 31, 2011 - Great Texas Balloon Race & Local Attractions, Longview, TX (click here to view a detailed itinerary).  4 days and 3 nights accommodations, 4 Meals - 3 Continental Breakfasts(CB) & 1 Dinner(D), Luxury Motorcoach Transportation, Ozarkland Group Tours & Reunion EscortThe Great Texas Balloon Race is a North American Balloon Association event. GTBR invites 80 sport and special-shaped hot air balloons. The pilots compete for the Texas State Championship. If you've never seen these colorful, graceful giants in the sky, watch out! The beauty and elegance will have you hooked for life.  The most exciting race is known by pilots as the Controlled Navigational Trajectory Event. Better known to us as the "Key Grab." Each pilot has only one chance in each race to "steer" their balloon toward a 12 inch ring atop a 20-foot pole.  Have you ever dreamed of being carried into the sky by a giant bouquet of colorful toy balloons?  Cluster balloon "pilot" John Ninomiya will inflate and assemble a giant cluster of helium balloons at the Balloon Race infield, then at around 6:45pm Friday and Saturday, he will strap on a harness attached to the balloons and let them carry him away.  One of the most popular happenings at the Great Texas Balloon Race is the evening Balloon Glow on Friday and Saturday just as the sun sets and twilight passes by.  During the Balloon Glow, the public is able to walk among the balloons, observe how a crew puts a balloon into flight ready status from the bag it is stored in, and talk to the pilots.  Local attractions will also be seen throughout the week end.
